When we finished Snoopy we decided to head up the Old Stage road and hit a small trail to test the systems and see what breaks first. The first thing was an overheating problem. Old Stage is 11 miles long and starts about 7000 ft elevation, it ends up at 10500 ft, so its has a pretty aggressive climb in some spots, and Snoopy just wasn't cutting it. We removed the hood and that let enough air come through to keep it cool. Second, and last problem, was the coil was overheating, causing a bad misfire and eventual stall. We relocated the coil and that was the end of that. Here are the pictures for ya.
The rigs involved are: 79 Scout II (Mark 'coop' Cooper), Red White & Blue Bronco II ('Wild' Bill Boyd), 67 Scout (Damian, 'Snoopy'), Black CJ7 ('Captain'), Chevy 3/4 ton Pickup (Bobby), Wrangler YJ (Allen)
