About D and C - Order - Extreme Scout Buildup 2000 - Announcement Page

The more things change the more they stay the same.
That's what my papy used to say!

Now I realize that when most people change a good product to a "NEW" and "IMPROVED" one, it only means that they have found out how to make it cheaper…and that usually means it doesn't work like the old one did.

Rear Bumpers

But from the start we at D and C Extreme have sung a different tune, and so it is with our 2nd Generation Rock Climber bumpers. Are they as strong as the early models? Of course! Are they as pretty? OH YEAH - heck the are even the same weight too!

Then why did we change them? Three words: Function, function, and function! (Ever notice "function" starts with "fun"?) Our new bumpers are tighter and hug the Scout better than ever before! They DON'T hang off the ends as much as the older style. We also built them stronger with stronger 3/16" material (versus the old 1/8"). The new bumpers are 1.5" shorter and one half inch shallower to help you maneuver in TIGHT spots!

Front Bumpers

Even the front bumpers have been reworked to perfectly complement the rear bumper. They are also built with function in mind. Now the last 12" on each side tapers back so that you don't catch on trees while turning in tight areas. A front receiver is STOCK, no more paying extra for the versatility of a Multi-mount winch (or any other receiver mounted accessory). And like the rear bumper, each is fully seam welded 3/16" plate steel with angles built for skidding off rocks and boulders.

Fit and Finish

The finish work of all our bumpers is as clean as ever. All our bumpers are seam welded, hand sanded, and powder coated for a look that'll keep other staring while providing maximum rust protection.By the way, we just don't throw any old powder coating on there, we use BK62 Powder.

BK62 is a Hammered Black semi-gloss that is naturally thinner and has a slight texture to it. This texture provides more than just a thicker coating, it also TOTALLY resists finger prints. So if you just changed the oil, you don't need to be afraid to touch your bumper! It just wipes off without leaving the look of an oily residue.

Standard Equipment

All bumpers come complete with nessasary hardware for mounting. Both bumpers come with a 2" Class III reciever hitch for use of reciever mounted accesories. Rear reciever can be used for towing only if factory braces are used and properly installed.

Possible Options

We now have some new options too! Now you can get a specially built D and C Extreme Push Bar / Bush Guard to protect your grill area and keep it safe in case of an unexpected "obstacle" (see pictures on this page). HiLift mounts and Shackle mounts (w/ shackles) are also available. And if you have any other need, let us know!

Each bumper is $250
Options:
Clevis/Shackle Mounts $60
Frame Tie-ins (for rear bumper only) $75
Brush Guard (front bumper only) $200
