Arranging the new shop.

"Start small and grow into it" is what we were told by all our friends and business associates. These were the governing words last year when we were in search of a new home for D and C Extreme. And we found a perfect *little* shop that held great promise for us. Luckily we were able to negociate a one year lease "just in case" we needed to move ~ do to growth. Sure enough, we outgrew that shop inside of 3 months, and we couldn't help but to find a *bigger* facility to accomidate us for the next few years.

Our search started in early January 2002. We contacted many different realators and view several potential shops. Finally we met with Charlie Madson (this guy is the lost twin brother of Mike Ditka ~ I swear it). he showed us several places, all of them "would do" but everything was a bit "to high" on price. After communicating with him our desires he stated that he knew of a place that had just come available...that "no one really knows about yet". He then called Dick Lacardi (also of Hoff & Leigh) and took us to what we now call our 'new shop'.

Dick had what we needed. His building consisted of 6 1250 sg ft shops, 5 of which were connected, and a huge front office area. After walking around a bit, we negociated for 3 of the 5 spaces. All walls between them (and any little rooms) would need to be tore down to make room for plenty of 'work area'. We also aquired 625 sq. ft section of the offices for a show room and small private office area. All in all, the new shop is 3750 sq. ft or working area, 625 sg ft of office ~ for a total of 4,375 sq ft.
